Pure Gold's UAE expansion includes five new showrooms

The company will open by end-August its first, and by far, the largest 22-karat store in Abu Dhabi's chic shopping district, Hamdan Street. By third week of September, Pure Gold will unveil its semi-exclusive showrooms at the Abu Dhabi Mall and the Mega Mall-Sharjah, respectively. Its shop in Gold Centre at Gold Souk Deira is set to begin operations by second week of October. Likewise, Pure Gold has recently opened its exclusive boutique at Souk Madinat Jumeirah.

"Hamdan Street is emerging as a vibrant shopping quarter in Abu Dhabi," said Karim Merchant, Managing Director of Pure Gold. "The Abu Dhabi Mall, Mega Mall-Sharjah and Gold Centre-Deira are exciting retail environments with excellent growth potential for the new Pure Gold showrooms we've planned."

The 2,000 square foot shop on Hamdan Street showcases more than thousands of 22-karat designs along with a large collection of affordable diamond jewellery offered by Pure Gold with prices ranging from AED 500 to AED 25,000.

Meanwhile, the Gold Centre will be the biggest 22-karat showroom in Gold Souk, Deira carrying extensive collections from gold jewellery, semi-precious and precious stones and diamond jewellery.

The upcoming stores in Abu Dhabi Mall and Mega Mall-Sharjah will also display the latest Pure Gold designs available in the market. Also it will house Italian brands Cauduro, Marciano and Leaderline, semi-precious and precious stones, exquisite diamonds and unique jewellery from the region.

The expansion of the new stores came on the heels of the successful debut of its exclusive boutique at the Souk Madinat Jumeirah. Pure Gold is the biggest jewellery showroom at Madinat Jumeirah and carries exquisite pieces that cannot be found in the market.

"The expansion taking place in the next two years is in line with our aim to open 35 stores in the UAE by 2006," affirmed Merchant. Other than the stores in the UAE, Pure Gold will further expand to the Gulf region. With the multiple showrooms strategically placed to capture market share, Merchant expects Pure Gold's sales to rise by approximately 25 per cent.
