Packaging & printing seminar programme announced
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, September 01 - 2004 at 13:23
- PRESS RELEASE
The region's leading packaging and printing exhibition, Gulf Pack and Gulf Print, have announced a substantial seminar programme during the four day event.
Speakers have been drawn from leading packaging, printing and graphics companies, as well as the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), research and marketing specialists. According to the organisers "the result will provide all those attending with a unique opportunity to acquire information and listen to experts that would otherwise cost a lot of money to access" said Dominic McGill, Project Manager of Gulf Print.
The programme kicks off on 19 September after the VIP Opening Ceremony with an opening address by the Swedish based Secretary General of the WPO, Dr Carl Olsmats. He will present a paper entitled "A Global Perspective on Packaging", something which he is well qualified to discuss based upon his qualifications in packaging technology and a PhD in packaging as a strategic tool for business development.
Daily afternoon sessions will then be presented by printing, graphics and software specialists. HP, Layout Middle East and Heidelberg present a structured, sequential work shop everyday from 3PM-6PM at the exhibition's Media Stage area.
Global leaders in packaging solutions Tetra Pak have organised a series of seminars during Gulf Pack, the first is presented on Monday 20 September by their sister company, Tetra Laval. This reveals a new business tool to maximise efficiency and profitability. The following day Tetra Pak will present the latest market research from NFO on children's attitudes towards dairy products along with a seminar on marketing products to kids in the Gulf. On Wednesday 22 September, Tetra Pak will provide information about the state of the dairy industry based upon the latest audits carried out in the region by IMES.
Work shops will also be presented by Clearpack and SIG Combibloc, both addressing a variety of important industry topics. The final session is given over to the Asian Packaging Federation who will share their vision for a local packaging association for the UAE together with awarding prizes for the best exhibition stands.
According to McGill, "visitors need to register soon as spaces are restricted. The whole programme will make attending the Gulf Pack and Gulf Print show a truly valuable experience."
