The event will be held at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, Dubai, on September 6, 2004, between 10am and 7pm.

Discussing the impact of affordable and user-friendly printing solutions that can be effectively applied by the retail sector, Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Gulf FZE, said that one of the chief benefits of such technology was the freedom it afforded retailers in terms of enabling them to respond promptly and successfully to market demands. In-store signage has always been one of the key drivers to help close a sale and in-store graphics can be tailored to meet the requirements of all brands, small or large.

"The next few years are going to witness dramatic growth in Dubai's retail landscape, and retailers will be trying to out do each other to gain an edge. Retailers whose businesses will be enhanced will be those who have implemented intelligent solutions, with regard to POP/ POS material, that are flexible, cost-effective, timely, and above all can be networked to ensure consistency across outlets," he said.

Ernest Azzam, Business Development Manager - LFP, HP Middle East, concurred. "Recently, we have all witnessed a boom in the retail sector in the Middle East. And in-store posters and banners are the best way to deliver a message to customers. With the HP range of large format printers, we can offer excellent value for money solutions that can help retailers increase their ability to communicate with their customers."

The features of HP's large format printers that aid the production of POP/POS material will be demonstrated during the open house. Retailers attending the event will also be introduced to Prestige, a poster-printing system that was developed for the retail trade, and to Dynasite, the recently launched web content management system by Jacky's.

Printing technologists from both Jacky's and HP will be on hand to provide information and expertise on customising printing solutions for individual business needs. Jacky's and HP will team up again later this month for the Gulf Print & Pack exhibitions, where photographic and production solutions from ColorGATE, including the FotoZoomer and PROOFGate will be showcased along with the HP large format solutions.
