It will be held in co-operation with Future Vision at the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel on October 6, under the patronage of Shura Council chairman Dr Faisal Al Mousawi.

A BSTD delegation, including chief executive officer and senior adviser to the board Ebrahim Al Dossary and president Mariam Al Janahi, met Dr Al Mousawi at his office.

Dr Al Mousawi praised the important role played by BSTD in the area of human resources development.

Mr Al Dossary thanked Dr Al Mousawi for his patronage and stressed the importance of developing new management tools and quality standards to help enhance the performance of organisations.

About 200 delegates from GCC states are expected to attend the seminar, said BSTD vice-president and the seminar organising committee chairman Saeed Omar.

California-based Strategic Action Association president Jim Bandrowski will be the speaker.

Author of Corporate Imagination Plus, Mr Bandrowski will speak on Six Sigma, a quality assurance measurement tool which was first developed by Motorolla Corporation.

"Many manufacturing and industrial groups have later adopted this standard, which helps in the quality of operations of organisations," said Mr Omar.

"Mr Bandrowski will focus on staff development issues, career development aspects and quality assurance programmes which help enhance performance of various establishments."
