Trend Micro part of best-of-breed security alliance at GITEX 2004

Trend Micro, (TSE: 4704, NASDAQ: TMIC), a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and services, announced today that, in response to the proliferation of computer viruses penetrating business around the Middle East, it will focus on raising awareness about the importance of virus protection at GITEX 2004.

Trend Micro will be exhibiting with Websense, the leading provider of employee Internet management (EIM) solutions, and RSA Security, a company which helps organizations protect private information and manage the identities of people and applications accessing and exchanging that data, to provide visitors with a comprehensive corporate security offering at the technology exhibition.

"Trend Micro's participation at GITEX with our alliance vendors provides us with the opportunity to demonstrate exactly how our technology can be integrated with solutions from Websense and RSA Security to provide end-to-end protection," said Justin Doo, Managing Director, Trend Micro Middle East and Africa.

"Visitors to our exhibition space will be able to test a live e-security solution, as well as get the most up-to-date information on new product lines available for the protection of Small and Medium Business (SMB) organizations."

The Trend Micro SMB range is an advanced portfolio of integrated antivirus and anti-spam products designed with SMB organizations in mind. The Trend Micro SMB solutions offer comprehensive protection at every level, from the server to individual workstations, examining data before it reaches the network.

The company, which is taking part in the region's leading IT trade fair for the fifth time, is also targeting decision-makers from the Middle East's leading government and private sector organizations, including oil and gas, finance and telecommunications.

As well as running live demonstrations of its entire product range - including solutions for aimed at the enterprise market - Trend Micro will host senior managers from its regional operations to discuss specific customer security issues in a one-to-one environment.
