Intel, SAP Arabia, ACCPAC, S2 Systems, Stonesoft and IMAS Software will be joining IBM in hosting the first IBM Forum that will visit Kuwait, Doha and Dubai on the 14th, 15th and 16th September, respectively.

"A transformation is currently underway where organisations want to buy IT capabilities and e-business services in a new way. Businesses in the Middle East want technology to help them integrate business processes end-to-end across the enterprise and with key partners, suppliers and customers. They want technology to help them respond with flexibility and speed to any customer demand, market opportunity, or external threat," said Samer Shaar, general manager of IBM Middle East.

"Today, IBM and its partners are helping drive this transformation through the on-demand business model; a business concept that is set to change the way organisations deal with technologies, strategies, business practices and corporate culture."

The IBM Forum will offer organizations from the private and public sectors, channel partners and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), a one-stop opportunity to network and exchange ideas with IBM and its partners and learn about the latest technologies that will bring them new market growth opportunities and extend their competitiveness through some of the industry's broadest range of vertical-specific business technologies that guarantee freedom through open standards, open source and Web services.

IBM will kick off each event with a morning session covering its on-demand strategy, where it will share a roadmap for the region and highlight some of the fundamental business challenges that organizations are facing today. The forum will then break out to separate track sessions on different topic areas within the 'on-demand' theme, including Linux, IT simplification and integration, lifecycle management, ERP and CRM solutions, as well as technology updates on the latest servers, PC and software offerings.
