The company, which visited the exhibition last year, was very impressed with the size and scope of the Middle East's expanding retail sector and decided to exhibit at the show organised by MECSC - the industry body for regional retailers and their suppliers.

'We want to establish our presence in this market and offer our expertise to Middle East retail companies that will help them develop a distinct identity and create a unique shopping experience for the customer,' said Lino Bussetti, Export Manager, Gruppolicromatico.

'Gruppolicromatico is very strong in conceptualisation, creativity and we believe every project is individual and needs to be treated differently.'

The 10th annual MECSC Exhibition and Conference will be held at the Jumeirah Beach Convention Centre from October 4 - 6. The exhibition features exhibitors from as far away as Hongkong, Italy and the United States of America.

'Retailing is today evolving into a science with its various aspects including design and décor, lighting, colours, product displays and layout playing a specific role in creating an attractive ambience for customers,' said Kim Redman, Regional Director, MECSC.

'Our exhibition is aimed at bringing together experts from these various specialisations to play their role in developing the regional retail sector.'

Platinum sponsors of the MECSC exhibition and conference are Dubai Festival City and Jumeirah Beach Residences, leaders in the mixed-use retail developments in Dubai. The event's other key sponsors include PMDC Cluttons, Burjuman Centre, Arabian Oud, FootFall, Grand Optics and Mastercard.

Meanwhile, the conference features a number of international speakers including the Chairman and President of the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) who will speak about challenges facing the retail sector.
