- PRESS RELEASE
Top industry professionals will share their knowledge and expertise at this year's Facilities Maintenance and Management Conference (FAMM 2004).
FAMM 2004 will consist of five intensive workshops, real world case studies, industry specific panel discussions and Q&A sessions focusing on a variety of topics including leveraging the opportunities which exist in current FM technology and implementing effective safety and risk management strategies.
One of the highlights of this year's conference is the 'Facilities Manager of the Year Award' which will be presented on September 26th 2004. To be eligible, interested parties need to register, attend the conference and be nominated by their line manager. The winner of this award will hold the title of IIR Facilities Manager of the Year and also guarantee a space at next year's FAMM conference.
Making this significant announcement, Cordelia Henry, Conference Director, IIR Middle East said, "Now into its second decade, FAMM 2004 is set to transform the way organisations prepare themselves for the rapid development of asset, infrastructure and facilities management in the region. As the fastest growing profession in the world, there is a lot of pressure on facilities managers to deliver tangible bottom line results. FAMM 2004 provides these professionals with the perfect opportunity to network as they learn how to align their facilities management with their corporate objectives."
"IIR is committed to supporting professionals and the Facilities Manager of the Year Award, endorsed by respected industry leaders, is an ideal way to recognize the often forgotten talents of facilities managers. An award of this caliber is poised to encourage future progress and development in the field," she added.
31 leading organizations have confirmed their participation in this year's conference including the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA).
"Using fresh, inspiring presentations and the variety of forums available to them at FAMM 2004, renowned industry speakers from across the region and abroad have been invited to share their insights with the delegates to educate them on how to maximize efficiency, reduce costs and deliver optimum value to their organizations," said Henry.
Exhibitors at this year's conference include HP, the leading technology solutions provider and Emrill Services LLC., a joint venture between Emaar Properties PJSC, the region's premier property developer and Carillion PLC, a leading UK-based provider of facilities and property management services.
