Samsung energises regional mobile phone industry with launch of E800 slide-up mobile phone

Introducing the latest in mobile phone style and versatility, Samsung Electronics today launched the SGH-E800 slide-up camera phone for customers in Middle East.
"The E800 is another example of Samsung's absolute commitment to design and technology innovation," said Mr. J. H. Park, President, Samsung Gulf Electronics. "With its unique semi-automatic slide-up design as well as the world's first built-in voice clarity function, consumers will be wowed by its blend of cutting-edge technology and breathtaking design."
The SGH-E800, created with Samsung's powerful 'Intenna' technology and soft-touch slide-up capability, is lightweight (86g) and compact (87X 43X 23.5), with a stylishly colourful two-tone finish. The uniquely designed phone's sleek and compact exterior encases a super-VGA camera, wide screen, 64 polyphonic ringtones and several user-friendly features like photo CLI (Call Line Identification) in phonebook. The SGH-E800 also has a small mirror to take self-portrait pictures and supports multi-shot mode that can produce 15 consecutive frames for a motion effect.
