FedEx Express returning to near normal air operations immediately

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. resumed air operations, between Europe and the United States last night.

FedEx flights will continue to operate, to the extent that safety precautions, regulatory agencies and aircraft availability allow. The unparalleled FedEx networks in the Asian, European and Latin American regions continue to operate.

"We expect flight operations to run very smoothly tonight with many of our scheduled aircraft returning to the sky," said Robert W. Elliott, President Europe Middle East and Africa. "The sorting of packages and flight launches are moving ahead, and all is going very well. We will be working around the clock to get up to full speed," he continued.

"As we resume operating our full air network, the safety of our employees and customers, and, the security of their shipments remain our top priorities," said Elliott. "All new security guidelines, policies and procedures have been activated."

"We are continuing to keep our customers, around the region updated frequently and consistently through our corporate Web site, our couriers and sales force," said Elliott. "Our employees are committed to providing the best service possible to our customers," he added.

The FedEx Express Money Back Guarantee remains suspended, but the company looks forward to reinstating it as soon as possible.
