Designed to appeal to 18-30-year-old females, Face is the region's first handbag-friendly title of its genre. And with sections including showbiz gossip, fashion and beauty news and home entertainment reviews, as well as big name celebrity interviews and features, it looks set to be Dubai's most talked about magazine.

Face hits the shelves every fortnight. It is the first new launch from CPI Consumer, the new division of Corporate Publishing International, a publishing company that has been based in the UAE for 14 years. Editor-in-Chief Graham Stacey - who also launched Ahlan! 17 months ago - said: "This is the first of several high-profile launches we have planned for the next six months."

"Many see Dubai as having the best of everything - world-class hotels, amazing cars, international sporting events - so why not the best magazines? " "In any case, Dubai is a very different culture to the Western world. The city is full of young, trendy, affluent people - many of whom will relax by the pool or on the beach - and yet Face is the first read aimed at these people, which fits into a beach bag. The days of lugging around a briefcase-sized magazine are gone!"
