Symbol Technologies to showcase latest handheld, mobile computers & wireless connectivity at GITEX 2004

Symbol Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:SBL), The Enterprise Mobility Company, will use the GITEX 2004 exhibition platform to showcase its latest handheld computing devices alongside its key partners' vertical industry solutions for organizations in the Middle East.
Symbol Technologies will also host on its exhibition stand with Online Distribution in Hall 7 N7-2, several of its regional solution partners, including Data Capture Systems (DCS), Handheld Professionals, Mobileware, and Vxceed Technologies, each demonstrating different Symbol Technologies-based enterprise mobility solutions.
"Businesses in the Middle East are increasingly demanding mobile solutions that will allow them to move more quickly and competitively, while still maintaining a real time connection with their enterprise networks," said Tarek Hassaniyeh, sales manager, Symbol Technologies, Middle East.

GITEX 2004 provides an ideal opportunity for potential and existing customers to meet Symbol personnel and partners on the stand and discuss industry-specific application requirements." added Hassaniyeh.
DCS will be showing two of its recently developed applications for meter reading and asset tracking, while Handheld Professionals will be demonstrating its Arabic-supported retail and sales automation solutions where the trucks can be tracked via GPS.
Also on display from Mobileware will be warehouse management solutions utilizing Symbol Technologies wireless devices and infrastructure for greater efficiency and productivity. Finally, Routetrac, a comprehensive route management solution from Vxceed Technologies will be showcased with customer applications shown in the government, healthcare, banking, and retail sectors.
Symbol Technologies enterprise mobility solutions deliver real time visibility into mission-critical needs, such as information sharing, improved data accuracy, increased workforce productivity, and financial efficiency.
