The company, specialists in providing turnkey solutions for set up and operations of family entertainment centres and themed display areas for mall developers and retailers, says retail is one of the fastest growing industry sectors in the region today.

'The overall retail market size figures, US$ 162 billion in India and US$ 135 billion in Russia alone, are mind-boggling and represent a huge potential waiting to be tapped,' said Prakash Vivekanand, Director, ASI-TLS.

'There are over 55 large shopping malls under construction in India and the Moscow City Government has approved a master plan which forsees building a total of 8.2 million square meters of retail space by 2020.'

ASI-TLS, which is setting up regional offices in India and Russia to cater to this demand, will participate in the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) exhibition to be held at Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Convention Centre from October 4 - 6.

'MECSC is our preferred forum to meet with existing clientele in the regional industry and develop new contacts,' said Vivekanand. 'The show has always helped us achieve our objectives.'

ASI-TLS has designed, executed and contributed to projects in over 26 countries including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Egypt, Lebanon in the Middle East; as well as India, Malaysia, Australia, Russia, Poland, the UK, the USA, Canada and Japan.

'ASI-TLS is among the many exhibitors providing specialist services to shopping centre owners in keeping with current global retailing trends,' said Kim Redman, Regional Director, MECSC.

'Our exhibitors encompass almost the entire range of services that shopping centre developers and retailers need to create a distinct identity in the minds of their target audience.'

Dubai Festival City and Jumeirah Beach Residences, leaders in the mixed-use retail developments in Dubai, are platinum sponsors of the 10th Annual MECSC exhibition and conference. Other key event sponsors include PMDC Cluttons, Burjuman Centre, Arabian Oud, FootFall, Grand Optics and Mastercard.
