Islamic Co-op hands out awards as quality drive

CO-OP Islami today announced a series of prestigious awards as part of its drive to boost the quality of all of its products.
The ceremony was part of a two-track meeting aimed at unveiling and consolidating the CO-OP's future direction, being rolled out under a theme of uniqueness. Saleh Saeed Lootah, Managing Director - CO-OP Islami, said: "We have made considerable progress since our first meeting last year when we prepared to apply for the Dubai Quality Award.
Due to the efforts of our staff, our application was successful and we are now the proud possessors of the award. It is further recognition of our commitment to top quality standards and to sustaining the superb performance of this company."
Saleh Abdulla Lootah, Assistant General Manager- CO-OP Islami-Operations, added: "Our employees took on a big responsibility in trying to meet the high standards demanded of them. They have achieved the required quality standards and deserve to be commended for their determined efforts which have contributed hugely to meeting our goals."
Saleh Abdullah Lootah, outlining plans for next year, said the company would continue to make progress in all its operations and that quality would remain top of the agenda. He said: "Yes, there have been achievements, but we have to keep up the momentum and must redouble our efforts to ensure our customers needs continue to be met and that we provide the very best produce that is available."
