Over three days, the show's organizers ITP Events saw over 5000 visitors through the door to enjoy over 50 exhibition stands, informative seminars and Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's lectures and design clinics.

'We were delighted with the amount of people who squeezed in over the weekend for the Emirates Home Show,' declared Ken Jamieson, ITP's Director of Events. 'Since the event was launched in May we have had a constant stream of enquiries about the show from all around the Middle East and we have been extremely pleased with the feedback that we received from all visitors and exhibitors.'

Celebrity interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen of BBC television's 'Changing Rooms' fame, was the face of the Emirates Home Show and opened the event with Vice President of UAE Business Women's Council Faiza Al Sayed on Thursday 16th September. Llewelyn-Bowen also presented two outstanding lectures on colour and light and two design clinics and Q&A sessions per day which were highlights of the show as reflected by the large audiences that attended each session. 'Laurence was a big hit with the attendees,' Jamieson continued. 'Tickets for his lectures had been selling online for weeks prior to the event and the number of people who attended his room styling & design clinic, especially on Friday was staggering.'

On Saturday evening a raffle was held to win an entire furnished room from Pan Emirates - sponsors of the Emirates Home Show and Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen drew out the name of a delighted Mrs S Batty amongst thousands of entries. In addition, Laurence judged the children's design competition where children who attended the show over the three days submitted designs for a dream bedroom. Artist Steve Chambers from Hamadeh & Co will now paint the winner's bedroom to their own design.

From the success of the first Emirates Home Show, plans are already well underway for next year's event which will be held at the new facilities at the Madinat Jumeirah from Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th September 2005 making the Emirates Home Show another annual event in Dubai to highlight in your calendar.
