"The Creative Suite Software Platform simplifies creative workflow, streamlines processes through tighter integration of applications, and saves significant amounts of time for the creative professional. It allows publishing houses to regain control over their pre-press processes, as these can be carried out in-house instead of the tedious process where designers had to send files to a prepress service provider to create effects and then re-check the proofs for ensuring quality," explained Andrew Lindstrom, Regional Manager, Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean Islands, Adobe Systems.

"It is easy to see why more and more media houses are adopting CS workflows. Adobe has further facilitated the process by introducing regional versions, such as the Creative Suite Middle East that supports creative production in Arabic, making it easier for multi-lingual media houses to adopt this amazingly versatile design platform," he added.

Creative Suite Wins Awards
The Creative Suite Platform has won a host of awards and industry recognition for its innovative approach to the publishing and design workflow. Among the awards is the prestigious 19th Annual Codie (award from Software & Information Industry Association) for the best productivity software. The Creative Suite Premium package has also won the MacWorld's Editors Choice Award for Best Imaging Software. In the MacWorld's Readers Choice Category Adobe's Photoshop CS won the best software award.

Media Industry Adopts Creative Suite
In less than a year after its launch in October 2003, Creative Suite has been adopted by industry leaders such as the Hearst Publishing House (with 18 U.S. titles including Cosmopolitan, Popular Mechanics, Marie Claire and House Beautiful; and more than 137 international editions) and BBC Worldwide. Other media houses to have adopted the CS workflow include magazine publishers such as Condé Nast; newspapers, including The Telegraph and the Guardian; and the book publisher "Penguin Books".

Meanwhile, the Middle East Version (CSME) of the Creative Suite Software Platform has also been well-received by the region's media industry. Leading publishing houses to have adopted CSME include the Gulf News. Amongst the leading media houses to have shifted to CSME are TD&A, Impact BBDO and Saatchi & Saatchi. In fact, Landore Associates, who had already switched to the Creative Suite in some of their international offices, have chosen to implement CSME in their Middle East operations because of the software's customisation to requirements of Arabic speakers and the Arabic script.
