UAE-based Mohamed Al Geziry Consultancy, which is now marketing the archipelago of idyllic East African islands, aims to capitalise on the growing influence of The Hotel Show, organised by Streamline Marketing and taking place at Airport Expo Dubai from May 20-22.

"The Seychelles is a prime holiday destination which is seeing more and more major hotel development," said the company's chairman Mohamed Al Geziry, previously general manager of the Jebel Ali Hotel in Dubai for 20 years.

"Because The Hotel Show attracts a growing number of developers from the Middle East countries, it provides us with a superb platform from which to highlight the opportunities that exist for hotel development, as well as tourism, in the Seychelles."

Also representing Odette AG, a Swiss consultancy for project financing and development in marketing and tourism, construction, technology and trade, the Dubai consultancy joins a line-up of 150 exhibitors in Dubai, half of which are taking part in The Hotel Show for the first time.

"The exhibition is developing increased appeal to both exhibitors and hotel trade visitors, and the diverse range of products and services on display will cater for every hospitality requirement," said Joanne Evans, director of Streamline Marketing

"The level of interest this year vindicates the strong belief we had that, despite the tourism slump at the end of last year, the Middle East hotel industry would regain its luster. The range of exhibitors highlights the fact that the event has moved beyond being simply a traditional supplier showcase to cater for more diverse aspects of the industry."

Innovaciones Mecanicas of Spain will introduce a range of orange juice makers to the exhibitor cocktail. These use a process which guarantees absence of bitterness from the juice.

Driving home the Show's diversity, Liberty Automobiles Co of Dubai will offer test drives of luxury Cadillac Sedans and 4x4 vehicles to senior hotel executives looking to develop their vehicle fleets.
