- Qatar: Tuesday, September 21 - 2004 at 13:34
- PRESS RELEASE
Qatar Airways will be taking part in Singapore's biggest and most eagerly anticipated travel fair, Holiday 2004, organised by the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) at Suntec City from September 24-26.
Following its successful participation in NATAS Travel in March, Qatar Airways will again showcase its destinations and five star services to visitors attending the holiday fair with its 36 sqm state-of-the-art stand.
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer, Akbar Al Baker said: "We are keen to establish our presence with travellers and travel agents in the region. In December last year we launched our thrice-weekly services to Singapore, bringing our destinations in the Far East up to eight cities, with further routes from Doha to the region being considered.
"The NATAS holiday fair is visited by travel and tourism officials, travel agents and non-trade visitors from the Far East and Pacific region. It gives us a great opportunity to build on the awareness of Qatar Airways, its superior services and rapidly growing international network.
"This is the time of year when bookings are made for the holiday season, including Christmas and the Chinese New Year, and people are out in force to get inspired by new offers in the market. It is a perfect opportunity to put Qatar Airways and Qatar as a new and exciting holiday destination in the forefront of people's minds.
"With some 150 exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors expected to the three-day event, NATAS Holiday is the ideal arena to promote Qatar and Qatar Airways," added Al Baker.
Qatar Airways flies to Singapore three times a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flight QR638 leaves Doha International Airport at 2240, arriving at Singapore Changi Airport at 1130 the following morning.
Flight QR639 from Singapore leaves Changi Airport at 0745 on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, arriving at Doha International Airport at 1040 local time on the same day.
