AUST Faculty of Pharmacy & Health Sciences to launch new nursing & laboratory programs

Ajman University of Science and Technology Network's Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences plans to introduce two new specialties of Laboratory and Higher Nursing programs in the very short future.

Dr Sameer Baloukh, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy & Health Sciences said, "Though we are at the initial stages of preparing the necessary document required for the accreditation, yet we are quite optimistic of the result and the response of the students and the ministry of education. The two programs are highly in demand as the population of the health cadre increased to meet the health needs of the people in the UAE and across the borders."

" The high demand for the Pharmacy and Health Sciences Faculty has given us the signals of the importance of other related courses. The program of undergraduate study in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences leads to the Bachelor of Pharmacy after completion of 150 credit hours. Since its inception in 1996-97 the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has delivered the best quality studies to graduate," said Dr Baloukh.

" We are proud that AUST Network has spared no effort to back and help the faculty to achieve success at all levels. He added that there is a huge expansion in the medical field with the rapid increase in population. "Our objective is to prepare and graduate professionals competent to work in hospitals and community pharmacies and the pharmaceutical industry. We also aim at producing graduates in the laboratory and nursing sector which is indeed in need a lot of professionals," said Dr Baloukh.
