According to General Manager, Hossein Rahimi, "the show is an integral part of the sales process. It allows people to come, see and feel the machinery. They see what the competition has and compare prices, they can then make decisions. We were able to close 24 deals worth $13.5 million in three days."

He went on to explain that "our sales deals are in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Iran, and we generated many leads in Iraq and Kuwait."

Of the total sales generated from Gulf Print, Canadian based Creo CTP technology closed deals worth more than $2.3 million dollars. Creo are the largest independent pre-press company with more than 4,000 employees and 30 offices worldwide. "It has been wonderful for us to close 11 deals in 3 days, with another 40 leads to follow up after the show," Rahimi said.

The remaining sales were booked for Metronic, and Konig & Bauer in Iran, with orders worth $11.4million in just three days. "The major share of these sales has gone to 10 companies in Iran, who bought $10million worth of equipment from us," explained Mehdi Rahimi, Sales Manager of Notronics. " The other sales were for Saudi Arabia and the UAE."

Iranian interest in the show has been very high according to Gulf Print project manager, Dominic McGill. "We have been approached by several Iranian companies who have come as visitors and who want to establish better ties with companies based in the region and interested in doing business with Iran,"

"We are confident we will have a bigger participation from Iran during the show in 2005," concluded McGill.
