Mega deals inked at Gulf Pack Gulf Print

Exhibitors reported over Dhs 55 million in sales over the past four days at Gulf Pack and Gulf Print 2004 with one exhibitor, Notronics, alone closing USD11 million to companies in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Iran.
K.R Joesph, the Area Sales Manager of Triveni Trading said that "this is our third time exhibiting here and we are extremely pleased with our performance, not only have we explored new avenues and ventures with contacts from African and GCC countries, we have also generated $200,000 worth of business from companies in South Africa, Jordan and Syria."
SIG Combibloc Obeikan, the world's second largest provider of aseptic beverage cartons for long life products such as juice, milk, soups and sauces exhibited at Gulf Pack for the first time, Mr Mohi Khan, Marketing Manager of SIG Combibloc Obeikan said "we have received a very good response here at Gulf Pack. Our main objective was to generate awareness and exposure within the Middle East region and we feel that we have achieved this objective successfully."
AGE Graphics generated $1.5 million in sales to companies in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the UAE. The exclusive distributors for Presstek Computers were delighted with the results of the show, Jim Cicci, General Manager of Presstek said "we are launching the only free chemistry system in the Middle East which has been extremely popular at this exhibition."
DigitAge, exclusive distributors of Creo, made sales worth $2.5million during the show. "70% of the sales were generated and closed at Gulf Print and 30% were leads from before the show, but the show helped us close these deals," said Hossein Rahimi, General Manager, DigitAge.
Heidelberg, the world's leading manufacturer of printing and graphics machinery, used Gulf Print as the launch platform for their new Print Master PM52. According to Sinbad Al-Mahaire, Marketing Manager of Heidelberg have had "a vast amount of interest in the machine as it targets the medium and lower level segments of print shops and gives a good return of investment. The attendance at Gulf Print has exceeded our expectations and we have achieved a good number of sales as well as generating several good leads and prospects for future business."
