Samsung's real to life digital experience, to be demonstrated at Gitex through digital home, office and mobility environments, form part of the company's 'digital convergence' theme. Each of the digital environments will demonstrate how a network of connected products such as printers, monitors, PDAs, Plasma display and mobile phones can deliver great consumer experiences.

"Digital convergence is the technology of the future and Samsung strongly believes in this new technology's potential to expand the information technology and telecommunications industry in the region," Mr. J. H. Park, President, Samsung Gulf Electronics (SGE) said. "The 'digital convergence' theme at our spacious pavilion will give visitors a realistic view of the emerging technologies that will spearhead this revolution and will take consumers' digital experience to an unprecedented level,"

"The benefits of digital technologies are very evident and by bringing in the element of convergence among these digital devices, we will further see the emergence of a new wave of technology that creates a family of connected devices, which can be accessed anytime and from anywhere."

The Samsung pavilion, located in Hall B2-1, is spread over 323 sqm and evenly grouped into four display zones giving a full insight into the technology future. The giant pavilion will showcase the company's diverse range of cutting-edge, award-winning digital convergence-enabled devices.

Each display point will showcase innovative products including the latest range of TFT LCD monitors in size ranging from the present highest size of 24" to 30" and 40"; sleeker and slimmer profile monitors; multifunction and wireless printing solutions; first-of-a-kind camera phones; personal digital assistant (PDA) solutions; world's first digital duo-camcorder and digital-liquid-processing (DLP) technology based flat-panel television.

This is in addition to the Samsung Mobile Fun Club booth that will host fun-filled activities including a series of quizzes and competitions, downloading of audio and video clips onto Samsung mobile phones, and a well-known DJ to keep visitors energised with the latest Arabic and English tracks.

BusinessWeek magazine and Interbrand Consultancy's annual survey of the top 100 global brands rank Samsung as the world's 21st largest brand, which is an improvement over its 25th place 2003 and 42nd place in 2001.
