  • PRESS RELEASE

Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), Abu Dhabi's leading hospitality group, is set to make a big impact at the remaining international tourism and trade exhibitions this year.

ADNH will be representing Abu Dhabi at Moscow's 'Leisure' exhibition, and France's 'Top Resa' expo, as well as at several other leading events later this year. Its attendance will be a valuable opportunity to further promote the UAE capital as a tourist destination in Europe and internationally.

The Leisure 2004 exhibition takes place at Moscow's famous Olympic Sports Complex 'SC Olympiisky' from September 22-25. This year's exhibition marks the tenth anniversary of Leisure, and it is the sixth year that ADNH is taking part.

In 2003, the exhibition welcomed 876 exhibitors from 58 countries and 19 regional tourism authorities, and the event is expected to be even bigger this year, with all the main decision-makers in the Russian travel industry taking part. Leisure 2004 will also host a stand for Abu Dhabi Civil Aviation, and leading travel agencies in the UAE capital.

Abu Dhabi will be showcased for the first time at France's top travel and leisure exhibition Top Resa, which is being held from September 30 to October 2 at the Hippodrome de la Touques in Deauville. More than 1,000 exhibitors from across the international market are taking part; ADNH is the sole representative of Abu Dhabi.

Commenting on ADNH's involvement, His Excellency Khalifa Nasser Bin Huwaileel Al Mansoori, Chairman of ADNH, said: "Our participation in international travel and tourism exhibitions plays an important role in establishing Abu Dhabi as a world-class tourism destination. These exhibitions will provide valuable opportunities to network with key travel decision-makers and to learn of the latest industry developments."

Al Mansoori added that ADNH will be in a great position to showcase the range of tourism opportunities Abu Dhabi has to offer, including unique destinations, first-class facilities and real Arabian hospitality.

Ali Hosani, Manager Tourism Division, Sunshine Tours, will attend both Leisure 2004 in Moscow and Top Resa in France on behalf of ADNH. He said: "Our role is to build the image of Abu Dhabi not only locally and regionally, but on the global stage, too. That's we are placing so much emphasis on exploring new markets.

"ADNH has contributed significantly to Abu Dhabi's ongoing success, posting a 26 per cent increase in profits in the first half of 2004 compared to the same period last year. This shows that Abu Dhabi is developing rapidly as a destination choice for both business and leisure."
