Empost and Embassy of India sign exclusive door delivery agreement of passports & visas

The Agreement applies to consular services rendered at both Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi as well as CGI, Dubai. Any applicant for consular services has the option to engage the services of EMPOST who will arrange for secure return of the documents after due consular services has been rendered, at the nominal charge of Dhs. 10/-. Under the Agreement, EMPOST guarantees return of the passport/consular document, within 48 hours, to any place in the UAE. The EMPOST will have a counter at the premises of both the Embassy in Abu Dhabi as well as the CGI, Dubai to facilitate this service for those who wish to avail of it.

The Agreement comes into effect from 25th September, 2004. It is expected to be of particular benefit to members of the Indian expatriate community, particularly those living outside the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and other applicants for consular services who find it inconvenient to return to the premises of the Embassy/CGI on the due date to collect their documents.
