Dubai-based Sabha Advertising, specialists in motion display and outdoor advertising, large format printing and other advertising services, are targeting regional retailers and shopping centre owners with this product.

"The Middle East retail market is one of the fastest growing and increasingly, international brands are looking to establish their regional presence beginning with Dubai," said Moutaz Oweada, Marketing Manager of the company.

Whirlybirds are POP displays that have three or four arms with one double-sided advertising board attached at each arm. They can be suspended from ceilings in a range of sizes from four to 50 metres.

"Whirlybirds made their international debut in the UK in June and represent a whole new generation of advertising media," said Oweada. "Their height is adjustable by remote control and they are the ideal solution for shopping malls, airports and retailers."

Sabha Advertising is the official GCC distributor for Whirlybirds and Postermatic scrolling poster display products in India, Iran and Yemen as well.

"The MECSC exhibition and conference is the only regional event that really brings together the shopping centre industry professionals with their service providers," said Kim Redman, Regional Director, MECSC. "The exhibition has grown to be three times bigger than last year and has attracted exhibitors from Hong Kong and Australia to South Africa and the United States of America."

The MECSC exhibition and conference, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, will be held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel's Convention Centre from October 4 - 6.

The conference features a number of international speakers who will cover a range of topics including Shopping Centres Worldwide: The Big Picture, The Emerging Trend Towards Lifestyle Centres, Shopping Centre Success: The Ten Commandments, New Retailing Dynamics for Growth, The Secrets To Retailing Success In The Global Marketplace, How to Compete in a Competitive Market, Optimising the Customer Journey and Creating a Success Culture.

Dubai Festival City and Jumeirah Beach Residences, Dubai's leaders in the mixed-use retail developments are platinum sponsors of the event. PMDC Cluttons, Burjuman Centre, Arabian Oud, FootFall, Grand Optics and Mastercard are the other sponsors.
