- PRESS RELEASE
The Retail Industry is characterized by the fact that knowledge of the customer base, demographics and behavioral characteristics are essential for success.
'Microtech Infinity ERP™ enables the retailer to segment customer base, and then the retailer can subject them to Target Marketing', said Tamer Maher, Vice President Business Development, thereby ensuring a higher share of the customer's wallet, in addition to meeting the customer needs. It also helps in understanding the changing behavior that fuels new product development ahead of competition.
He also added, 'Microtech Infinity ERP™ facilitates customer profitability Analysis'. By accumulating data on revenue from specific customers and assigning relevant costs (direct product costs, indirect customer acquisition costs and operational costs), Customer Profitability can be arrived at. Analysis of Customer Profitability helps in identifying the cash cows and providing appropriate services to retain them, said Maher.
Business Intelligence is a must in the retail industry, Microtech Infinity ERP™ provides state-of-the-art business intelligence techniques using OLAP Tools - These tools help business users in analyzing factual data on multiple dimensions for a better understanding. For example, Sales value and volume can be analyzed by customer segments, geography, time, and product category, Maher said.
In the retail industry, trade promotions can account for up to one-fifth of a company's profit or loss. To lower costs, you require functionality for managing promotion processes and budgets. Microtech Infinity ERP™ is designed to increase promotional return on investment through effective planning and analysis. It also enables you to view current and potential liabilities through providing complete visibility into funds and into trade programs at each stage of their life cycles. You can thereby manage effectively trade promotions that increase brand equity and achieve sales objectives, Maher said.
In the attempt to boost its presence in the GCC, Microtech recently opened its Riyadh office to cover all KSA operations, while its Dubai branch is expected to open next November.
Microtech will be participating in GITEX 2004, it will be located in the Egyptian Pavilion M9-1 (Booths 13 & 14), Sheikh Rashid Hall. Visitors to Microtech Booths will be able to view live demonstrations and discuss their ERP needs with their team of software specialists.
