Fanous brings with him 29 years hotel industry experience working within senior and managerial positions, including roles with Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels in America and Saudi Arabia.
Most recently at the Al Jazira Hotel & Resort in Abu Dhabi, Fanous takes up his new post immediately.
Designed in the style of a nearby 16th century castle, Qaser Ibrahim, InterContinental Al Ahsa is a truly modern and luxurious venue in Al Ahsa.
The hotel boasts 166 royal, presidential, bridal, executive and junior suites and rooms with the latest in-room facilities, including modem and voicemail, and an interactive television system providing a remote internet TV service. Guests can also choose from six fully-serviced, self catering three bedroom villas, with a private garden, as well. The hotel also offers guests four food and beverage outlets and state of the art sport and leisure facilities.
The Al Ahsa InterContinental also achieved the golden award for best new 5 star hotel 2003 at this year's MENA awards.
