Largest ever Index exhibition closes on a high

As Index 2004 draws to a close all previous records have once again been exceeded. Visitor numbers have increased by some 7 per cent on the 2003 show, with estimated total of 35,000 visitors to the industry's largest show in the Middle East.
The show success and its rapid growth have multiplied along with the rapid expansion tot the U. A.E providing a world class show in dynamic growing region. The Gulf Region has the fastest growing population rate in the world, and coupled with the large-scale oil and gas production has created a substantial high growth economy.
Kim Willis of dmg world media Dubai Ltd said, "We have seen visitors from right across the region, more than two thirds come from outside the U.A.E from neighbouring GCC and Levant countries. This year has even seen visitors from CIS as well as North America, testifying that this truly is a world class exhibition."
Bernard Walsh, Managing Director, dmg world media Dubai Ltd added, "This has been the larges show ever with us occupying all eight halls, as well as the Sheikh Rashid and Al Mutaqua halls. We are delighted to learn that the Dubai World Trace Centre are considering expanding the complex and I can say that Index will be there occupying every available square metre."

It is a business highlight in the Middle East's Furniture & Interiors Calendar, providing and indispensable rendezvous for the region's architects, interior designers, contractors, developers, public and commercial buyers, importers, agents, distributors, manufactures and retailers. Held annually at the state-of-the-art Dubai International Exhibition and Conference Centre (DIECC) complex.
