Middle East's digital convergence leader, Samsung Electronics, to sign actress as brand ambassador in GITEX 2004

Simone Singh, the quintessential television beauty and lead player of the hit sitcom "Heena" on Sony television, who also starred in director Karan Johar's blockbuster film, Kal Ho Nah Ho, is all set to wow audience visiting Samsung Electronics' pavilion at the GITEX event.

Middle East's digital convergence leader, Samsung, is bringing the multi-faceted actress to formally announce her as its brand ambassador for the Samsung Fun Club.

The Samsung Fun Club is an online community and loyalty programme for Samsung phone owners. Launched two years ago during GITEX 2002, the fun club largely comprising young technology and gadget enthusiasts, offers mobile-interactive features including screen savers, wallpapers, images, graphics, video clips and 64-polyphonic ring tones.

Mr. J. H. Park, President, Samsung Gulf Electronics said: "We look forward to signing Ms. Simone Singh as brand ambassador for the Samsung Fun Club at the start of GITEX. Ms. Singh, one of the most talented and highly regarded actresses in the Indian sub-continent and also internationally, has emerged as a role model for the Middle East's younger generation, who form an important target audience for our latest digital products."

The Samsung Fun Club booth at Samsung's GITEX pavilion will host fun-filled activities including a series of quizzes and competitions, downloading of audio and video clips onto Samsung mobile phones, and a well-known DJ to keep visitors energised with the latest Arabic and English tracks.
