Sakhr launches a 'Global Agreement' initiative with Arab government institutions

Sakhr Software Co., the largest Arab IT company, launched a new initiative aimed at supporting Arab government directives on their path towards using the best Arab technology has to offer within its various departments.
The initiative was launched at a large scale meeting hosted by the Ministry of Planning, Kuwait. The meeting was headed by H.E. Khaled Ali Al-Khamees, Undersecretary Assistant, Ministry of Planning, IT Sector, within the ministry's program of moving towards maximizing benefits gained from the advantages offered by national projects in the IT sector, and towards supporting the directivities for the implementation of e-Government. The presentation was attended by about 70 high-ranking officials, executives & IT managers within the various departments of Kuwaiti government organizations, as well as Salah Malaeb, General Manager, Sakhr Software Co. and Ala'a Ul Din, Regional Manager, Sakhr Software Co.
"Unification of standards will remove all communications obstacles between the country's government departments and will help governments avoid any problems that may arise in the future by relying on one set of standards & specifications for Arabic language technologies," said Salah Malaeb, commenting on the importance of this meeting.
"Malaeb" also pointed out the important role Arab IT plays in developing & enhancing the performance of the government. Something which will, in return, benefit national development & the e-services expected of Kuwait. He spoke of the capabilities of Sakhr technologies & solutions, detailing the features of the applications & uses of Sakhr products which fulfill the need of numerous organizations & institutions. During the presentation, "Malaeb" also announced that Sakhr is planning to establish a Support Center for e-Government directives for the adoption of Arabic language solutions to ensure maximum benefit at the highest professional levels.
"Khaled Ali Al-Khamees" explained that the meeting highlights Kuwaiti government support for Sakhr technologies & solutions, the Arab IT company that was launched in Kuwait. He expressed his wish that this event will be open new horizons towards the government adopting Sakhr's technologies & solutions.
The presentation discussed the importance for using advanced Arabic language technologies, particularly for text & document management, and the success that these technologies continue to achieve, within similar Arab & international environments.
At the end of the meeting, participants commented on their successful experiences with Sakhr, and expressed their enthusiasm for the "Global Agreement" initiative, which will further enhance, and deepen, the exchange of expertise between government departments on the path to building a knowledge enriched community of knowledge in Kuwait.
