At the recent Jordan ICT Forum, Chief Executive Officer Dominic de Sousa, presented a CPI/IDG global vision award to Cisco Systems, the industry leading networking giant, whose commitment to skills transfer and community programmes is helping to underpin the major changes underway in the Kingdom.
Accepting the award for Cisco, President and CEO John Chambers said: 'I take this very personally. I really appreciate the sentiment behind the award and am honoured that our work in helping communities reach their true potential has been recognised in this way.'
A special global vision was also presented to His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan for his significant contribution towards 'the development of a skills-driven, ICT-based economy for Jordan and the future of the Kingdom as part of the wider knowledge revolution in the Arab world', commented Chief Executive Officer Dominic de Sousa.
