The agreement is spearheaded by the fast paced developments in the communications market and with the evolving behavior of customers, who are increasingly relying on e-payment methods using the credit card, said Fastlink CEO Mohammad Saqer.
The new system serves both monthly subscription and pre-paid customers, who can save time and effort by using their mobile phone to pay their phone bills and recharge their pre-paid credit.
'It is our responsibility to spread awareness on modern technologies among people and facilitate their needs,' added Saqer about the newly introduced service. He said Fastlink is always keen to introduce latest technologies and products of international standards, all of which work to assert the Company's position in the local and regional markets.
The agreement is part of a series of measures aimed at serving individuals and businesses and ensuring them a uniform bill payment mechanism. E-payment is a reliable, secure and convenient way for people to pay their bills from anywhere and at any time of the day.
Customers wishing to utilize the service are encouraged to fill an application form at any of Fastlink outlets or at any of Jordan's commercial banks. A cooperation agreement will be signed with banks to facilitate the service. Each customer would be issued a secured number through which he/she would be able to access the system and carry out the transaction. The system debits the amount to the beneficiary.
Signing the agreement were Mohammad Saqer for Fastlink and Sa'eed Shuqum, representative of Visa International and Director of Visa Jordan.
