In addition to its direct participation, AMD will be working closely with its partners to help them educate visitors and promote AMD processor-based solutions at the show. There will be AMD representatives present at several OEM stands including Acer, AsusTek, Gigabyte, HP, MSI, Sky and Sun.
"One of AMD's key priorities as we grow our Middle East presence is to build a strong ecosystem for our partners including our OEM customers," said Pierre Brunswick, AMD's Regional Sales Director, Russia-CIS, Middle East & Africa. "By ensuring support of our partners at important events like Gitex 2004, we are providing end users with regional expertise and privileged access to AMD's truly innovative products and solutions including the AMD Athlon™ 64, the AMD Opteron™ and the AMD Sempron™ processors."
To encourage visitors to all the partner stands, AMD representatives will hand out special promotional "passport" cards that will be stamped at all the partners stands before being deposited at the AMD stand for a daily drawing for a replica Ferrari car.
In addition, AMD will work with its OEM partner Acer to supply 85 Ferrari 3200 notebooks powered by the Mobile AMD Athlon™ 64 processor 2800+ for use at the DIC Community Zone by all its (DIC's) exhibiting business partners.
