Co-op Islami launches Dhs 3m GCC-wide Golden Egg Ramadan surprises

Co-op Islami, the region's leading producer of halal meat, today announced a Dhs 3 million GCC-wide Golden Egg campaign to spearhead its annual Ramadan Surprises promotion.
This promotion, the largest organised by the producer and the first to be launched throughout the GCC region, will offer customers the chance to win one of 500 golden eggs and a host of other prizes.
Saleh Abdulla Lootah, Assistant General Manager- CO-OP Islami-Operations, said: "The Golden Egg will be at the centre of our marketing campaign. We have used 3.5 kg of pure gold to make the 500 golden eggs we are giving away. In our effort to provide something different for all our loyal customers during Ramadan we will run the campaign throughout the Gulf region.
"We have also prepared a collection of an additional 8,000 valuable gifts and awards for our consumers, ranging from household tools to sport bags. For Ramadan all of our goods will have special coupons attached to them and these will decide if a customer has won a golden egg or one of the other prizes "
Customers have to look out for the coupons on their goods which will tell them what they have won. The winning coupons for the golden eggs will only be found in Co-op Islami chickens. The Islamic producer and retailer expects this campaign to increase the company's sales inside the region's markets by 35 per cent this year, against last year's total.
Co-op Islami's full range of more than 150 diversified products - from fresh and frozen meat products, such as burgers and sausages, seafood to cheeses and vegetables.
