Industry leaders partner with IBM at GITEX 2004

IBM Middle East has announced today that major players from the region's IT industry will be partnering with IBM at GITEX 2004 to showcase some of the industry's broadest range of on-demand solutions.
"IBM is working closely with its partners across the region and providing them with comprehensive and proven set of products and technologies that allow them to drive this market to the on-demand era," said Samer Shaar, general manager of IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. "Today, we are investing in local skills and local solutions for local markets. Through our partners, we are expanding our development resources, helping companies innovate, helping more innovators find markets and helping companies leverage that innovation in their businesses."
IBM Partners Solutions at GITEX 2004
Citrix Systems- will be demonstrating its latest access infrastructure solutions that allow secure and well-managed access for both enterprises and individuals-on demand.
Daon- will be showcasing biometric identity management software products that specifically address the needs of large-scale government security programs as well as the access control requirements of enterprises around the region. The highlight at the show will be iris, finger and facial identification and verification using Daon's flexible identity management platform.
Emirates Business Machines (eBM) provides regional expertise in enterprise system consulting, architecture design, implementation and professional services including technical consulting, system migration, optimization and fine tuning of the existing ERP/CRM implementations. EBM will be at the IBM stand showcasing Storage (SAN) architecture design and consolidation solutions that cover current and future requirements for enterprise solutions.
Elite Computer Solutions will be showcasing some of its Enterprise System Management Solutions based on IBM's Rational software development technologies.
Emircom will feature mobility solutions for workforce management and enterprise wireless content delivery for access to corporate portals/website from mobile devices.
Jumbo Electronics' Enterprise Systems Division (ESD) will highlight some of its high-end enterprise solutions, such as mobile computing for the educational sector, server consolidation and data center solutions, as well as heterogeneous storage and infrastructure management solutions.
Newtek Solutions will be at GITEX with IBM showcasing solutions on Business Continuity Management Consulting, the Newtek Alert Server-which builds business alerts to proactively address and manage customer satisfaction-and technology solutions that enable secure STP of EFT and the management of messaging and formatting from disparate systems.
Nortel Networks will be demonstrating high performance Gigabit Ethernet networks, showing high resiliency and quality of service for voice and video as well as data, IP telephony, wireless LAN connectivity, power over Ethernet and secure remote working using IPSec and SSL VPN technologies.
BMC Software will be at GITEX with IBM Global Services to demonstrate a joint offering, the IBM Infrastructure Resource Management (IRM) Accelerator, based on IBM's methodology and the RemedyŽ IT Service Management (ITSM) Suite for the Enterprise. The Remedy ITSM Suite helps companies optimize resources, proactively manage services and assets, and align IT services to the goals of the business.
STS will be showcasing its e-government and e-banking solutions, with particular emphasis on the Postilion solution from Mosaic Software, PayONE and RetailONE e-payment and e-banking solutions that use IBM's WebSphere middleware platform.
UKS will be highlighting its e-Learning consulting services, solutions and products at the show. By partnering with IBM, UKS will demonstrate the latest learning models and methodologies through a full-fledged learning environment based on IBM Lotus delivery and collaboration tools, including IBM Lotus Workplace, IBM Lotus Virtual Classroom and IBM Lotus Learning Management System.
WiSPGulf will be at GITEX to share details on its infrastructure solutions in the areas of wireless, security, storage and convergence for the regional market, helping organizations transform themselves to wireless e-business environements.
