Opennet receives Red Hat Excellence award as Training Partner for Middle East
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, October 05 - 2004 at 08:30
- PRESS RELEASE
Opennet, master distributor for Red Hat in the Middle East and Africa, has been awarded the Red Hat Excellence Award for 2004 as the Best Red Hat Training Partner.
"We are pleased to be singled out for this recognition especially since we have been operating as the Red Hat Training Partner in the Middle East (based out of Dubai) only for the past year," said Tewfik Zitouni, MD, Opennet MEA.
According to Francois Lucatelli, Red Hat's Channel Sales Manager for South Europe & MEA, the award recognises the quality of service, the volume of business and percentage of growth in business.
"We have seen around 250 percent growth in the number of people opting for Red Hat Certifications since we appointed Opennet," said Lucatelli. "This is a direct reflection on the strong commitment and contribution from Opennet in educating and spreading the right Red Hat message to the enterprise user."
Both Lucatelli and Zitouni attribute their success to a high level of customer support in the region offered by Opennet. There are plans to extend this level of support.
Zitouni continued, "Guaranteed quality and standardised support is the main concern of our clients and partners. Availability of certified expertise locally makes a big difference."
Opennet has plans to expand its team and its support centre in the region to keep pace with the level of growth in wider adoption of Linux in the enterprise segment.
