HP Achievement Awards honour 26 ME industry notables

HP has announced the results of their much awaited annual event, 'HP Achievement Awards' held alongside their participation at GITEX 2004 as the Middle East's largest IT company.
Hazem Bazan, Director Solution Partners Organisation for HP Middle East commented on the awards and its significance in the region. He said, "HP is constantly providing evolving technology to the business and consumer and it is through our channel partners that we are able to reach our audiences. Among us here tonight there emerge some who are more successful than the others - a result of clear strategy, innovative effort, and focussed planning. This results in a combined success of depth and breadth of growth, increased sales and customer satisfaction, and overall superior performance.
"The HP Achievement Awards are designed to recognise and reward individuals and organisations who have displayed excellence in their performance over the last year," he explained.
Sean Gallagher, Director, Small-and Medium-sized Business (SMB) Sales Solution Partners Organization, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) presented the awards to HP's winning business partners. "The sustained growth of IT infrastructure in the Middle East is interdependent, and HP believes in partnering with the very best. These awards also show our great appreciation to our channel partners for their combined efforts over the last year," he said. The HP Achievement Awards were presented in 26 categories covering a wide scope and diversity of businesses across the region (see detailed list of winners).
Bazan also said, "This annual event is a much awaited occasion for all of us in the industry, particularly so for our channel partners and the event was designed with these expectations in mind." He added that among the many unique components of the gala event which included exceptional entertainment, with opera singing serving staff, that the HP Middle East Achievement awards were set to become harder year by year to judge, as the Middle East region continues its growth into a potentially powerful emerging market of over 200 million customers.
