  • United Arab Emirates: Thursday, April 04 - 2002 at 09:05
  • PRESS RELEASE

Hertz car rental benefits across the Middle East, and worldwide, are the latest advantages on offer to members of Skywards, the frequent flyer programme of Emirates and SriLankan Airlines.

Hertz Europe Ltd has signed a three-year partnership with Emirates and SriLankan Airlines to provide global car rental to Skywards members who will now collect 500 Skywards miles on each Hertz car rental.

They can also take advantage of preferential rates and exclusive promotions, and have the option to enrol into the Hertz # 1 Club Gold programme, a unique service speeding up the entire car rental process for frequent travellers.

The range of benefits will be available to Skywards members when booking car rentals at a growing number of Hertz locations right across the Middle East. The world's largest car rental company has branches in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE and Yemen, as well as general sales agents in Saudi and Bahrain.

Judith Short, Director of Partnerships for Hertz Europe Ltd said: "We are delighted to be working with Emirates and SriLankan Airlines, and regard this partnership as strategically important for our Middle Eastern network, and also on a global platform."

Partnerships Manager, Jean Kennedy commented: "I see Hertz as a natural partner for Emirates - both sets of customers make their bookings expecting exceptional quality, service and value for money, which of course we endeavour to deliver. This agreement can only be of benefit to our customers, by providing the complete travel service from two world class brands."

Tony Bond, Skywards' Partnership Manager, said: "Skywards and Hertz are perfect partners and through this relationship will be able to offer extensive benefits to customers. Skywards has built a reputation for working with quality brands that offer our members something above the norm - and Hertz perfectly fits that criteria."
