Over 160 top international fashion brands to showcase at Prestige

Fashion Trade Fair taking place 11-13 October, 2004, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Womenswear, menswear and childrenswear; lingerie; swim and beachwear; women's, men's and children's footwear and leather accessories will be on show for trade buyers expected from the Gulf countries, Iran, Middle East and Central Asia. Brands including Versace, ESCADA, Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Christian Lacroix, Porsche Design and many top brands which are new in the Middle East will display their upcoming cutting-edge Spring/Summer 2005 collections during the three day Trade Fair.

At official national pavilions, Italy and Germany will host extensive fashion and footwear brands, with 37 footwear brands alone represented in the Italian pavilion. Further European countries, including France and Spain, are set to make a huge impact bringing many new reputable and exclusive fashion and lifestyle collections to the arena.

Reinhard E. Döpfer, Managing Director of the European Fashion and Textile Export Council (EFTEC), Brussels, official sponsor of Prestige., was recently quoted as saying, 'No professional in the fashion industry can afford not to visit Prestige., the new specialised trade fair for upper to high-end brands in Dubai.'

'Trade buyers will have the chance to see exclusive premiers of many international brands never seen here before, but that seek to establish themselves in the Arab World. This is a tremendous opportunity for the development of commercial relationships between retailers, chain stores, distributors and the exhibiting brands,' added Döpfer.

EFTEC distinguishes Dubai as an important gateway for fashion and footwear trade. As a major target market the region has shown considerable industry growth, a key factor reflected in consumers demand for luxury products.

The fair will run from 9am to 1pm and then from 5pm to 9pm on the 11, 12 and 13 October in the Dubai World Trade Centre.
