- PRESS RELEASE
Fujitsu-Siemens Computers (FSC), the leading international IT vendor, has launched AMILO Pro V7010, an attractively priced versatile notebook ideal for professionals in the small and medium-size enterprises (SME) segment.
"The new AMILO Pro V7010 caters to small and medium-sized enterprises that look for desktop replacement functionality. It features a large display for maximum viewing comfort and an ergonomic full-size keyboard. It is ideal for users who want to get straight to work," said Susanne Lewitzki, Product Marketing Manager, Fujitsu Siemens Computers. "We expect professionals in the Middle East to leverage its many benefits for higher productivity."
The AMILO Pro V7010 is available as an entry-level unit with an Intelā Celeronā D Processor and as a mainstream unit with a Mobile Intelā Pentiumā 4 Processor supporting Hyper-Threading technology with a 15.1 inch XGA display for maximum viewing comfort. It also features a built-in DVD drive, combo or DVD+RW combo drive and integrated modem and LAN for easy connectivity. The four programmable Quick Touch buttons allow fast and simple launching of applications such as an Internet browser or email.
Four USB 2.0 ports and an integrated 3 in 1 Card Reader ensure excellent expandability for printers, scanners, cameras and other accessories. The Card Reader is compatible with Multimedia, Secure Digital and Memory Stick cards. With the help of an adaptor, a Compact Flash Card can also be used.
The optionally integrated PRISM GT Wireless LAN chipset supports mobile, cable-less operation to give users more freedom of movement, in addition to several interfaces for communication and for the connection of computer peripherals that can be extended even further using an optional cable Port Replicator.
The product's long lifecycles satisfy one of the main demands of business customers, thereby safeguarding rollout to the individual employees within the company in the long term. The manageability software supplied with delivery simplifies administration in the corporate network, thus making day-to-day work easier for the system administrator and helping cut the total cost of ownership (TCO).
