The French pavilion was organised by the official body - UBI France. ADIPEC 2004 is being held October 10 - 13, 2004 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council. FRANCE beat 10 other country pavilions to emerge the winner.
TOTAL received the 'Best Stand' award at a glittering awards ceremony held last night at the Rotana Beach Hotel and Resort, Abu Dhabi. Other winners included EMDAD for 'Best Group Pavilion', MACCHI for 'Best Medium Size Stand' and JOGMEC for 'Best New Technology launched at ADIPEC 2004'.
Special Appreciation Awards were also given to Saudi Aramco, Qatar Petroleum, Petroleum Development Oman, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and SONATRACH.
Congratulating the winners, Mr. Ahmad Humadi Al Mazrouie, Director General, the General Exhibitions Corporation (GEC), organisers of ADIPEC 2004 said; 'ADIPEC is truly an international show with 1,209 participants, from 54 countries this year. Winning these awards is highly creditable as it shows the extraordinary planning and effort that these awardees have put into their participation at ADIPEC 2004. Abu Dhabi has emerged as a leading destination in the region for business and tourism. On our part, the General Exhibitions Corporation is playing an enabling role in this process'.
Mr. Al Mazrouie also said he hoped that the visitors to ADIPEC 2004 would carry a message of goodwill and friendship from the people of the UAE to their respective countries and that of the UAE being a modern, rapidly evolving, tolerant, peaceful and friendly nation and a nation interested in building bridges and sustaining relations with the rest of the world.
Appreciation awards were also handed out at the ceremony to the ADIPEC 2004 sponsors including ADNOC, Baker Hughes, Exxon Mobil, Shell Abu Dhabi, TOTAL, JODCO, BP International, Schlumberger Middle East, Emirates Holdings and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB). Etihad Airways was presented with an Award for Outstanding Services Associate.

FRANCE was awarded the 'Best Country Pavilion' at the 11th ADIPEC 2004 (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference), one of the biggest oil and gas events in the world, which is currently taking place at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Centre.
