Hannes Yaghi, general manager of Le Meridien Hotels in Kuwait, is overseeing the launch of Le Meridien Tower, the group's first Art + Tech hotel in the Middle East.
According to Hannes Yaghi, country manager for Le Meridien hotels and resorts in Kuwait, the KD 60 room rate represents excellent value, not only among Kuwait's deluxe properties but on a global scale too.

Yaghi said: "Le Meridien Tower will be a star in its own right - the first Art+Tech hotel for Le Meridien in the region, offering hi-tech facilities unique in the area as well as a level of personalised service that is unrivalled. And all this will be delivered at a rate below the average in major business cities around the world, but without compromising on standards and services.

"We believe a burgeoning international market should see its product priced at a level that reflects other cities. We should not use the fact that occupancies are so high in Kuwait as a means to drive up prices."

The 70-room boutique hotel, located in the heart of Kuwait City, will be a showcase for Le Meridien's latest design concept that marries stylish décor with cutting-edge technology, ideally suited to the cosmopolitan business executive.

Yaghi confirmed that while Art+Tech rooms in other cities such as London were sold at a premium, in Kuwait customers could enjoy the facilities of the new look rooms at value-added rates.

"Traditionally, the market here has not had to respond to the usual forces of supply and demand, but the hospitality sector in Kuwait is changing and customers now have more choice - and we aim to ensure that Le Meridien is their preference."
