Editor-in-Chief Graham Stacey commented "The party was a huge success. Face has evidently made many friends in a short space of time and, with our first few issues all flying off the shelves, we are now planning to go weekly in late November." He added "It is tribute to the team here at CPI Consumer that Face is doing so well. It goes to prove that you don't have to have huge budgets to produce a quality magazine, and that editorial intelligence still goes a long way."

Guests were entertained by Dubai 92's Chris Fisher, prize giveaways including business class flights to London from sponsor Etihad Airways, presented by UK celebrity guest Elize De Toit, and gift bags that set a standard for every high-end event which included Vichy water, Clinique products and EMI CD's.

Commenting on CPI Consumer's future, CPI's Chief Executive Officer Dominic De Sousa said, "Face is the first of several new launches CPI Consumer has planned for the coming months, the next of which will be OK Middle East at the end of the year. We hope we'll be seeing everyone back for that launch party!"

CPI Consumer was established in September 2004, as a division of CPI - a publishing company with 14 years experience. With a handpicked team brought in from some of the region's biggest publishing titles, Face is the division's first launch. The first two issues were technical sell-outs.
