Delivery of the remaining 40 vehicles will take place early 2005.

Sana' Jaser, General Manager of AutoTECH / Chevrolet in Jordan said that the power, performance, reliability and unbeatable capabilities of these trucks were some of the key attributes that drove this fleet expansion deal.

"These powerful and heavy duty trucks which were equipped to suit the Public Security unique needs have proved to be reliable." Some of the features incorporated in these trucks include reinforced suspension and advanced braking systems.

Delivery of the specially fitted Chevrolet TrailBlazers has started earlier this year, and was completed last month. This is the first time Jordan Police sings a fleet agreement to purchase Chevrolet trucks.

"We are extremely delighted to close this deal with the Jordan Police. This is a very significant order for Chevrolet fleet business in the Middle East region," says Muneer Alhasan, Regional Fleet Sales Manager at General Motors Middle East.

Alhassan added that the Chevrolet is a trusted brand for police forces in the region, adding that Jordan Police will also enjoy some commercial benefits such as the standardization of maintenance systems.

Chevrolet cars form the backbone of police fleets across the region with the Saudi General Security Forces fleet alone comprising over 7000 Luminas.
