EMAAR Properties committed to enhancing creativity of UAE students

EMAAR Properties, the leader in the property development sector, has undertaken a number of initiatives to support efforts aimed at enhancing the skills of young people in the UAE.

EMAAR's sponsorship of the just concluded UAE Educational IT Challenge is the latest demonstration of its commitment to encouraging and supporting such projects.

Among the key aims of the The UAE Educational IT Challenge were to reward excellence and innovation, promote UAE projects internationally, increase IT usage in the classrooms and share good ideas and practice.

The Challenge was open to secondary schools, Higher Colleges and Universities across the UAE. Contestants had to submit projects on the way they use information technology in their classrooms.

EMAAR's sponsorship of this unique educational initiative, aimed at showcasing the talent of youngsters in the field of information technology, is part of the company's on-going programme to help discover, motivate and reward talented young UAE nationals.

EMAAR Properties Chairman, Mr. Mohamed Alabbar, said: "We are delighted to have supported this project which has become a platform for exceptionally talented UAE youth to showcase their skills in the fast-growing IT sector.
