The Radisson SAS Resort Sharjah recently hosted a top-level meeting of General Managers from Radisson SAS properties across the Middle East region.

The annual meeting saw General Managers (GMs) from each of the luxury properties come together to discuss future plans and budgetary issues. The properties that took part included The Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Bahrain; the Radisson SAS Golden Resort, Sharm El Sheikh; the Radisson SAS Resort, Taba; the Radisson SAS Hotel, Kuwait City; the Radisson SAS Hotel, Muscat; the Radisson SAS Hotel, Jeddah; the Radisson SAS Hotel, Riyadh; the Radisson SAS Hotel, Yanbu Al Bahr; Radisson SAS Martinez Hotel, Beirut and the recently opened Dariush Grand Hotel on Kish Island, Iran.

"The meeting facilities at the property are perfect for the event, and the beachfront location made it a very popular choice. It also gave each of our General Managers the chance to see other properties and share knowledge and ideas," said Jean Marc Busato, Vice President Rezidor SAS Hospitality, Middle East.

"The meeting concluded with a very positive outlook for the coming year from all of our GMs. 2005 looks set to be another great success for Radisson SAS, and we are looking forward to meeting the challenges we will no doubt encounter."

Sales & Marketing Directors (DOSM) from Radisson SAS properties across the Middle East met two weeks later at the Radisson SAS Martinez Hotel in Beirut for their annual talks.

"We feel it is important for all the DOSMs in the region to get together every year to maintain a system of open communication and set a focus for the year ahead as well as to share ideas and strategies," said Craig Senior, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Rezidor SAS Middle East. "The reason why we chose the Martinez as a venue for this year's meeting was largely based on its close proximity of to the airport, providing convenience as well as comfort and ensuring travel times were kept to a minimum."
