DHL appoints new Operations Manager for Bahrain

DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, has appointed Alistair Clewes as DHL Operations Manager for Bahrain.
Announcing this appointment, Nour Suliman, General Manger for DHL Bahrain, said: "We are delighted that Alistair has joined our management team. With his depth of industry experience, technology know-how and market savvy, Alistair will be instrumental in guiding the company to the next phase of its expansion plan."
Prior to his latest appointment Mr. Clewes occupied the position of the Service Centre Operations Manager responsible for handling field operations at DHL's Newport terminal.
'I am really settling in superbly. It's not just been my new team-mates who have really welcomed me, but also the technical team, the customer service team and most importantly Mr. Suliman. Everyone at the office has helped to make me feel really welcome,' commented Alistair Clewes, Operations Manager at DHL Bahrain.
Alistair Clewes joins DHL Bahrain with eleven years of management experience in Field Operations in the Air Express Industry in the United Kingdom, extending to resource management, project management, forecasting and achieving results within a budgeted figure through a multi-disciplined workforce.
'With his previous experience at DHL as Service Centre Operations Manager, Alistair is well qualified to ensure DHL Bahrain continues to offer service excellence,' added Suliman.
Alistair Clewes joined DHL International (UK) from 1991 from 1993 where he worked in the Field Operations and managed the daily pick-up and delivery process across a set geographical area, involving route preparation and adhering to all DHL standards of Quality, security and customs paperwork requirements to various destinations. In 1993 he was appointed Service Center Operations Manager at the DHL Newport offices, where he spent more than 11 years and earned a wealth of experience and industry knowledge.
