Intel Corporation yesterday introduced the Intel Pentium M processor 765, expanding its mobile processor offerings and enabling a broader range of Intel Centrino mobile technology-based notebooks for corporate and home users.

More than 50 percent of Intel Pentium M processors shipping are now built on Intel's industry-leading 90nm manufacturing process technology, including the new Intel Pentium M processor 765. Based on Intel's mobile architecture, the new processor features 2MB of integrated, power-managed Level 2 cache and a frequency of 2.10 GHz. It also features a power optimized 400 MHz system bus and includes power saving technologies such as Enhanced Intel Speedstep® Technology, which helps optimize application performance and power consumption to enable extended battery life.

Maan Ahmadie, Intel's channel manager for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region said, "The Intel Pentium M processor 765 is built on Intel's industry-leading, high-volume 90 nm manufacturing technology - the most advanced high-volume semiconductor manufacturing process in the industry. We plan to support this new release with our channel members and fellow travelers in the Middle East, as we continue to work with other parties to enhance the mobility infrastructure that will help people take advantage of Intel Centrino mobile technology based laptops to enhance the way they work, play and communicate without wires."

Intel Pentium M processors, along with Intel® 855 chipset family and the Intel® PRO/Wireless Network Connection family, are key components of Intel Centrino mobile technology — Intel's best technology for mobile computing. From full-size to ultra-thin notebook PCs, Intel Centrino mobile technology-based systems enable improved high-definition video playback, faster application response and higher bandwidth wireless data transmission.

With Intel Centrino mobile technology-based notebooks users can watch a video or listen to music while chatting on line or challenge each other to a wireless gaming face-off at home sitting on the sofa or with friends at the local coffee shop.
