- PRESS RELEASE
For the Holy month of Ramadan, Fastlink has launched a number of new services intended to benefit and entertain customers, reaching now 1.1 million.
Customers wishing to receive the service may send an SMS to (2004) bearing "SUB RAMADAN" for Arabic text, or SUB RAMADANE for English text, and for MMS, they can send to the same number a message bearing "SUB MRAMADAN" for Arabic and MARAMADANE for English.
Customers can qualify for a cash prize of JD10.000 in addition to a chance to win a Sony Eriksson, which is offered daily during the Holy month once they participate in the Ramadan riddle, also using either the SMS or the MMS service.
Another Ramadan service enables customers to listen to verses of the Quran recited by Sheikh Mashari Al-Affasi on their mobile phones. To do this, customers would be requested to send an SMS to (2790) with the letters SUB QURAN, after which they would receive an SMS verifying the process, then a WAP message containing the URL where the Sura can be downloaded.
Fastlink Data Services Manager Ziad Masri said Fastlink has introduced the Ramadan services, free-of-charges, to meet the needs of customers during the Holy month and provide them with an easy access to information on prayer times and other guidelines.
Fastlink expects a big response from customers to the Ramadan services, which benefited a total 60.000 customers last year.
