"Despite the global slowdown, the Middle East's tourism industry remains buoyant and demand for our eight regional properties is strong," said Mike Pilkington, Regional Director, Sales & Marketing Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts. "Our sixth consecutive presence at the region's premier tourism industry show will focus heavily on the development of Middle East-based properties.

"We have just launched a Pan Arab image and tactical advertising campaign to reinforce the messages put across from our sales and marketing teams. Our confidence boosting messages clearly address intra regional business and leisure travellers as we strive to maintain and enhance our Middle East client base."

Pilkington will head a delegation of ten Radisson SAS executives from Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, the UAE and the UK. They include Wassim Mahdi - Sales Manager Radisson SAS Hotel, Kuwait, Gaston Gellens - General Manager, Radisson SAS Hotel, Kuwait, Chris Pike -Director of Sales, The Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Bahrain, Marc Fletcher - Director of Sales, Radisson SAS Hotel, Muscat, Ali Tabouk - Assistant Director of Sales, Radisson SAS Hotel, Muscat, George Balassis - General Manager Radisson SAS Hotel, Amman, Michael Ezzat -Director of Sales, Levant and Khamis Kazzaz, Director of Sales, GCC.

And while the main focus will be on intra regional travel, Claude Attala, Director of Sales, Radisson SAS Portman Hotel, London, hopes his ATM presence will help attract an even larger number of Arab visitors to the chain's landmark London property, Radisson SAS Portman Hotel.

"London is a major tourism destination for Middle East travellers and visitors from Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar have traditionally been among the hotel's best customers," said Attala. "Our annual presence at ATM ensures that demand from the Arab world is maintained and that we keep abreast with the region's changing needs and trends," said Attala.
